Effective acceleration relies on force application into the ground. In order to generate the greatest amount of force, you have to have 3 good postural habits:
1. Your legs have to swing vertically after push-off to offset gravity and to be able to drive down and back. If your legs are low when sprinting, you cannot apply force effectively.
2. Your hands have to rotate upward to shoulder height to allow the opposite knee to come up to be able to drive down and back and apply force
3. You have to keep your head straight, shoulders square and back straight for energy to transfer efficiently through the body after push-off.
